“I was in prison and you came to visit me…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:36, 40
The Christian life in its simplest form is spending time with Jesus. Much to our surprise, he has told us that he is in prison. God can use our skills and abilities to impact the lives of prisoners, but ultimately He does not need us there. Rather, He invites us to discover the unique piece of His heart that can only be understood behind bars. In the process, we learn more of who He is and who we were meant to be.
